Gene Simmons Names The Person Who Is Behind The Success Of Billie Eilish
KISS bassist Gene Simmons recently had a conversation with US Weekly, during which he revealed the person who has made the biggest contribution to young musician Billie Eilish’s commercial success and rising popularity with their skills as a songwriter and producer.
As you probably know, since her debut single entitled ‘Ocean Eyes,’ released in 2016, Billie Eilish has continued to gain great success and fame with her talents as a musician and songwriter. She has received many positive reviews both from music critics and legendary rock and metal musicians.
For instance, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl resembled Eilish’s connection with her fans to Nirvana’s saying that rock n roll won’t die thanks to her. In addition to Grohl, KISS frontman Paul Stanley unveiled that he has been listening to Eilish’s songs with his bandmate Gene Simmons who defined her as a unique and talented artist.
During his recent interview, Gene Simmons drew attention to Eilish’s mainstream breakthrough but approached it from a different point of view. Simmons stated that she owes her popularity and success to her brother Finneas O’Connell, who is Eilish’s best-selling singles and albums’ producer and co-writer. However, he claimed that a few people know that because they’ve preferred to keep Billie at the front.
Simmons stated in his interview that:
“The most unique new artist, and I hope she moves on. She’s still very young is Billie Eilish. It’s called Billie Eilish but it’s really her brother who creates that all of those sonics and the lyrics. However, the imagery is Billie because her brother doesn’t look like Billie. I believe that’s going to be an exciting journey.”
