Fred Durst allegedly shared the new Limp Bizkit album with a fan by accident.

A user on X posted a screenshot of the singer’s conversation with the fan and wrote in the caption, “Fred Durst accidentally leaked his new album to a fan through Instagram DMs.”

It is seen in the chat that Durst sends the link and then writes, ‘Wrong person my bad.” When the user responded with, “Imma leak this,” the frontman asked, “What r u going to gain from it?”

In the comments, fans generally think the incident really happened but some also think it might also not be real because there is the possibility of AI.

Limp Bizkit was back in the studio working on a new album, their first since 2021’s ‘Still Sucks’ last year. Durst shared the news on Instagram with a video of drummer John Otto recording tracks.

He said in the clip at the time, “Oh sh*t, in the studio with John Otto … we ’bout to lay it down with those drumsticks dawg. Let’s get that funky funky. Let’s get that Limp Bizkit popping off.”

In other news from the band, Limp Bizkit sued Universal Music for unpaid royalties. They claim Universal hid sales and didn’t provide royalty statements from 1997 to 2004.

Still, Durst’s $200 million lawsuit may be in trouble after Universal called his claims false and asked for the case to be dismissed. They argue the band’s manager was informed in 2023 about royalty payments but said most band members sold their shares.

In April 2024, Limp Bizkit’s manager said they hadn’t sold royalties, and Universal paid the band $1.03 million in August. Despite this, the band is still suing, claiming fraud and breach of contract. Durst also claims Universal hid money, and he wants to cancel contracts and get $20 million in damages.

Limp Bizkit’s UK tour starts on March 8 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Then, there will be shows at the LP Pulse LIVE arena in Birmingham on March 13, and the AO Arena in Manchester on March 15. The final show is on March 16 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.
