Foo Fighters Face Backlash From Anti-Vaxxers Over Vaccination Requirement For Their New York Show

Foo Fighters has recently announced their tour dates and places in New York on their official Twitter account. They also revealed that the participants will be required to be vaccinated to join the show. However, their anti-vaxxer fans reacted to this obligation by sharing harsh comments on social media.
As you may know, Foo Fighters released their tenth studio album entitled ‘Medicine at Midnight’ on February 5, 2021. The album received very positive reviews from fans and music critics. Later, the band also announced they are going to start touring again in the summer. This news made the fans very happy until they learned more about the requirements of the shows.
On June 20, 2021, Foo Fighters will perform a live show at Madison Square Garden in New York. The band revealed that the fans can buy tickets on June 11, 2021. However, when anti-vaxxers or the fans who couldn’t get the vaccine later learned that they couldn’t attend the concert because the band required them to be fully vaccinated to join the show. Some of their fans reacted to this obligation in the comment section by saying that the band was discriminating against people.
Some of them even claimed that Foo Fighters support segregation and discrimination expressing their disappointment. Comedian Josh Denny also wrote that he won’t buy any concert tickets for the band anymore and suggested that there shouldn’t be such thing as vaccine mandatory. Foo Fighters members preferred to remain silent about the backlash they faced. Regardless of the criticism they received, the tickets for the NYC show were sold out in hours.
Here’s what the band stated:
“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year. And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that hard. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”
Here’s what the comedian Josh Denny stated:
“I’ll never buy another ticket to a Foo Fighters concert.
Not all people that choose to not vaccinate are conspiracy theorists. Some people, very close to me, have autoimmune conditions that make the vaccine a high-risk proposition.
Vaccine mandatory is 2021’s whites only.“
Here’s what another Foo Fighters fan wrote:
“Never thought the Foo Fighters would support suppression, segregation, and discrimination.“
