Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Shares The Story Of Getting Too High With Miley Cyrus and Joan Jett

Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl opened up about the time he got high backstage with Miley Cyrus after performing at Joan Jett’s induction ceremony to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2015, and apparently, the legendary musician isn’t planning on getting high for this year’s ceremony which includes their induction as well.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is both a museum and a hall of fame documenting the history of rock music as well as its notable figures who influenced its development such as musicians, producers, and engineers. There are a number of artists that are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at an annual induction ceremony and generally, the number of inductees ranges from about a half-dozen to a dozen each year.

There were countless monumental moments back in 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on stage such as a Beatles reunion when Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney performed together, Green Day’s iconic speech and performance, pop star Miley Cyrus inducting Joan Jett, and many more.

In addition to these show stopper moments, Dave Grohl joined Joan Jett for a special performance as he returned the favor after last year’s induction ceremony Joan Jett stepped in for late lead singer Kurt Cobain as Nirvana joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with Joan Jett performing side by side with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.

While the actions on stage and on-camera were amazing to watch, the stars apparently were having the best time backstage as well according to Dave Grohl as he revealed during a recent interview with Rolling Stone. Apparently, the legendary musician is planning to avoid getting high for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony during which Foo Fighters will be inducted as well.

As Dave Grohl revealed, he got high backstage with Miley Cyrus when the two smoked a joint back in the 2015 ceremony after Grohl went to the dressing room just to grab a drink, however, ended up high after a disturbingly long ceremony was wearing him off.

Here is what Grohl said:

“The ceremonies can be painfully long. Fortunately, Joan Jett’s performance was at the top of the show. We performed, and after a few hours, I went up to the dressing room to drink and wound up smoking a joint with Joan and Miley Cyrus.”
