Grönwall was asked about the most embarrassing moment he had experienced during his time as a performer. He noted that he does not embarrass easily, but said he did have one incident that stood out.

“And most embarrassing moment?” Grönwall said. “You know, I don’t embarrass that easily. One time on stage in France, I sh*t myself on stage.”

“That was a bit embarrassing,” he continued. “Of course no one knew about it except me. It was not a good experience, and I guess it’s a bit embarrassing. Yes.”

The comments were made as part of a conversation about Grönwall’s experiences as a touring musician. The incident had remained private until now.

Grönwall’s touring career has been shaped by significant personal challenges. In March 2021, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and in August 2021 he received a bone marrow transplant that saved his life. After his recovery, he was brought in to front Skid Row in March 2022, replacing ZP Theart.

Touring with an impaired immune system as a result of his bone marrow transplant proved difficult for Grönwall. The physical demands of life on the road, combined with the need for continued recovery from his medical treatment, eventually led him to step down from the band in March 2024. He felt he needed more time to properly recover and that the touring schedule had become too much to manage alongside his health needs.

Since leaving Skid Row, Grönwall has returned to his solo work. In May 2026, he released “Bad Bones,” his first fully original solo album built entirely on original material. The project marks a personal and artistic turning point for the Swedish singer, representing what he described as his most honest and uncompromising work to date.
