Former Saliva frontman Josey Scott has launched a crowdfunding campaign after thieves stole the tour trailer containing nearly all of the band’s performance equipment, as reported on Instagram.
Scott addressed the devastating theft that occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He explained the immediate impact on his touring operations.
“Stolen van FULL of gear in Tulsa, OK! Please keep your eyes peeled for liscence plate 771-542K and any of the gear in the pics,” Scott said. “If you see any of it, please don’t hesitate to call the Tulsa Police. Years worth of equipment, just gone.”
Scott then detailed the broader implications of the theft. He also explained his decision to seek community support through a GoFundMe campaign.
“Today, something devastating happened. Our tour trailer was stolen — and with it, nearly everything needed to perform,” he continued. “Inside that trailer was our band’s gear, equipment, merch, and essential items that make these shows possible. Years of work, investment, and livelihood — gone in an instant.”
Scott emphasized the personal and professional significance of the stolen equipment.
“This isn’t just equipment…This is how we make a living. This is how we show up for fans every night,” he explained. “Right now, we’re doing everything we can to recover what was taken — but the reality is we may need to replace a significant portion of it immediately just to keep the tour alive. We’re asking for help from the fans, the rock community, and anyone who’s ever connected with the music.”
Scott and his current band members outlined specific goals for the fundraising campaign.
“Every dollar raised will go directly toward: Replacing stolen gear, Securing a new trailer, Getting us back on the road ASAP,” Scott stated. “We sincerely need and appreciate your help, Josey Scott’s Saliva: Josey Scott, Dylan Edney, Ben Hosterman, Justin Barber, Tyler Parry.”
The theft comes at a particularly active time in Scott’s career. He continues to maintain a strong presence in the rock music scene despite the setback.
Utah Premier Events reported that Scott is the original frontman and founder of the multi-platinum rock band Saliva. He formed the band in Memphis in 1996 alongside fellow local musicians. The band achieved significant commercial success during Scott’s tenure as lead vocalist.
Beyond his work with Saliva, Bartlesville Radio noted that Scott collaborated with Chad Kroeger on the hit song “Hero.” This demonstrates his continued relevance in the rock music industry. This collaboration showcased Scott’s ability to work across different musical projects and maintain his profile in the industry.
Most recently, Blabbermouth revealed that Scott has joined forces with TESLA bassist Brian Wheat, guitarist Tommy Skeoch, and former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes to form a new band called T3RMINAL. The supergroup represents a significant new chapter in Scott’s musical career.
The timing of the theft is particularly unfortunate. The Metal Voice confirmed that T3RMINAL is currently in the studio working on its debut full-length album, which is expected to be released later this year. The stolen equipment could potentially impact both Scott’s solo touring activities and his work with the new supergroup.
