Former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell shared his thoughts about Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming farewell show in an interview with Everblack Podcast.

“I think we’re away anyway, but I don’t go very far to see acts now,” Campbell said. “I’d rather stay home with my wife and my dog,s to be honest. I value my home time now. We’re doing so much touring.”

“I wish Ozzy all the best, and I’m sure it’ll be a great day,” he continued. “I wouldn’t like to be in Tom Morello’s shoes. He’s the MD of the day organizing it all. So, he’s probably got the hardest job of the lot. It’s going to be amazing. Some brilliant bands on there. …I hope Ozzy goes out in style.”

Ozzy Osbourne is preparing for his final performance. Tom Morello will serve as the musical director for the event.

Campbell’s comments highlight the significance of this historic moment in rock music history.

Ticketmaster UK revealed the farewell show’s details. Titled ‘Back To The Beginning,’ the event will take place on July 5 at Birmingham’s Villa Park. The venue choice marks a meaningful return to Osbourne’s hometown.

Exclaim confirmed a momentous reunion. The original Black Sabbath lineup – Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – will perform together for the first time in two decades.

Blabbermouth detailed the concert’s lineup. Legendary acts including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Tool will perform. Each band will present their own rendition of Black Sabbath songs as a tribute to Osbourne’s legacy.

The event extends beyond a musical celebration. Proceeds will benefit several charitable organizations: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. This arrangement ensures the concert will create a lasting impact on the community.
