Eric Martin feels sad that Mr. Big is ending their touring career.

In a new conversation with Joe Rock of Long Island’s rock station 102.3 WBAB, the frontman said he is rethinking the band’s farewell tour and whether it will really be their last tour together:

“Now since we’re all getting along perfectly and the band’s so super tight, I’m thinking, why are we dissolving our partnership? I’m second-guessing now. I hope we do more records, but I get it. Paul [Gilbert, MR. BIG guitarist] probably doesn’t want to tour as much, just like I don’t. We’ve been on this road trip for a year. I don’t wanna do the really lengthy tours. I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m not even 40. I’m not even 50 anymore.”

He gave the Rolling Stone as an example:

“I love people when they go, ‘Oh, what about the Rolling Stones? Yeah, what about the Rolling Stones? They’re super butt rich. They play one gig a week and they fly in, in a jet and five-star hotels. They’re a little older now and they still rock out, but I’m thinking Mick Jagger gets carried to the stage. Come on.”

Martin’s Earlier Comments On Their Farewell

Previously, in a May interview with Brazil’s Rádio Kiss FM, Martin confirmed that ‘The Big Finish’ farewell tour will be the band’s last tour together:

“When we say ‘The Big Finish’, it’s not, like — hey, more power to Mötley Crüe or when KISS kept going. We really are men of our words. It’s gonna be it. We’re not touring anymore. That’s it. We are putting out a new record. We’re not even gonna tour on it. We’ll play some songs from it as the tour progresses. I mean, it will end in August. And we’ve got a live album coming out. But that’s it. That’s it.”

The rocker added:

“I would like to… I’m stuttering right now. I’m nervous because I don’t wanna say the wrong thing, because I don’t know what the rest of the guys plan, but it’d be great to do a couple one-off gigs here and there, like special shows. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that. But no more touring. It’s not gonna happen, I promise you.”

Mr. Big’s latest album, ‘Ten’ arrived this month on July 12. The record has 11 new original tracks. The band’s farewell tour is currently in the UK. Their next show is on July 27 in Liverpool. Then, they will head towards European countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and more.
