The tour will include five new shows across two cities. Clapton will play one date at Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE, followed by four shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

An announcement posted on Eric Clapton’s Instagram account states: “Eric Clapton will be returning to the U.K in May of 2027 for five new shows: one at Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE, followed by four dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall.”

Ticket sales will begin with a limited presale for fan club members. “There will be a limited Fan Club presale on Thursday October 15, followed by general onsale beginning Friday October 16. More information can be found at the link in bio.”

The announcement was made on Clapton’s Instagram account.

The Royal Albert Hall holds special significance in Clapton’s touring history. He has performed at the London venue on over 200 occasions throughout his career, making it central to his live performing life. In 2018, the Hall recognized his impact by making him one of eleven inaugural recipients of the Royal Albert Hall Star.

Clapton released his twenty-second solo studio album, Meanwhile, on 4 October 2024 through Bushbranch Records/Surfdog Records. The album contains six new tracks and eight previously released songs as singles from 2020 onwards, including collaborations with Van Morrison and Jeff Beck. He has also scheduled his first 11 dates for a 2026 tour, a run that includes his first performances in Budapest in 20 years, Madrid in 25 years, and Barcelona in 22 years, along with a first appearance in Kraków.

Despite health challenges, Clapton continues to maintain an active touring schedule. He has peripheral neuropathy, an incurable nervous system condition that makes playing guitar difficult. He has described the physical sensations as feeling like electric shocks down his leg and stated that playing remains hard work despite these struggles. Following a successful 2025 schedule that included roughly two dozen concerts across Japan, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States, the legendary guitarist continues to tour.
