Eddie Vedder’s Wife Jill Slams Gun Owners After A Terrifying ‘Active Shooter’ Incident
Pearl Jam lead vocalist Eddie Vedder‘s wife Jill Vedder reacted angrily on Instagram to the gun owners after an unfortunate incident she experienced with her daughter.
The widespread use of weapons in the United States has been controversial for years. This issue flared up again in the country, especially after the school shooting in May. People have advocated that there should be more gun use restrictions and that having one should not be easy. Celebrities from the rock world have also reacted to this issue on social media by sharing their views.
After the incident, Jack White pointed out the necessity of giving importance to this issue and tightening the rules to provide peace in society. KISS’ Paul Stanley also stated that these incidents were not just about mental illness and that government should implement more gun use regulations. Stevie Nicks was also among the rockers who advocated having a gun should be a complex process.
Recently, Eddie Vedder’s wife Jill reacted angrily to the gun owners by sharing an Instagram post. Jill Vedder explained that she was stuck in a bathroom with her daughter and 18 others after someone warned them about an ‘active shooter.’ Jill stated that it was a horrible moment for all the people there. As she said, her daughter was deeply affected by this incident. Vedder’s spouse expressed her anger that the world has become such a horrible place. At the end of the incident, they learned that it was fireworks. However, Jill Vedder reacted to the widespread use of weapons by stating not everyone could be lucky like them.
Jill Vedder wrote in her IG post:
“F*ck you people with your f*cking guns. When you spend 30 minutes locked in a bathroom with your daughter and 18 people because you hear ‘active shooter’ and people are running. Imagine how that would feel. I was sick and couldn’t breathe. But I had to act brave for my child, and all I could think about was the fact that this could be the end. Today I had 30 minutes of the terrifying moment of my life. People were running, not clear about the situation.
Just heard ‘active shooter’ and myself and 18 others barricaded ourselves in a bathroom, me and one of my kids, husband not here, another daughter alone at home. I’m sick, disgusted, horrified, and worried for my children and the world we are leaving them in. My daughter will not sleep tonight. Terrified to close her eyes and remember what just happened to us. Our story ended in a way many peoples won’t. Fireworks in a crowd.”
