Eddie Vedder’s Taylor Swift Comment Might Disappoint Pearl Jam Fans

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is a Taylor Swift fan.

In a new interview with Bill Simmons podcast, the rocker sat down with his bandmate Jeff Ament. When Simmons mentioned Swift’s Eras Tour, both members praised the singer’s music. The frontman discussed Swift’s secret codes and her talent:

“I know from my daughter that she’s really kind of incredible at planting these little hidden codes. And she changes it up, and there’s talk about what she played that night. And you know, she’s incredibly prolific. So she’s able to just kind of keep putting out music and putting out music.”

In fact, Vedder even has a favorite B-side track:

“I mean, my daughter turned me on to this one B-side that I just think is incredible. It’s just an incredible song.”

Vedder Thinks Swift Fans Are Like Punk Rock Crowds

The singer once took his daughters to a Taylor Swift show, and what he loved the most about the show was apparently the audience. During an earlier interview, the rocker explained why he loved the crowd so much:

“The run-up to it, making friendship bracelets with her and the generosity of these young girls and boys, trading these bracelets with different messages on them – lyrics, song titles, just acts of good will on these little bracelets. They had found their tribe; they were all agreeing on something.”

Vedder also said the pop singer’s audience reminded him of punk rock crowds:

“The craziest thing was it reminded me of punk rock crowds, of being aligned with all of the misfits in our town, back in the day. It was galvanising and powerful…”
