Don Henley Bids Farewell To The Eagles Fans In The UK
The Eagles’ Don Henley recently spoke during the show at BST Hyde Park and bid farewell to UK fans, implying this might be their last show in the country.
Before the global pandemic, the Eagles had plans to return to the UK in the summer of 2021 to visit London’s Wembley Stadium during their Hotel California Tour. However, they had to cancel the shows due to the outbreak.
In October 2021, the Eagles announced a 2022 European Stadium Tour with a show in London at BST Hyde Park. The tour featured six performances across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, kicking off on June 17 at the Gelredome in the Netherlands and concluding on June 26 with a Hyde Park concert.
Recently, the Eagles took the stage at BST Hyde Park, with Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Morgan Wade, Little Big Town, and Patrick Droney supporting them. During the show, they played a 23-song set that featured hits like ‘Tequila Sunrise,’ ‘Hotel California,’ and Witchy Woman.’
During the show, Don Henley implied that the Eagles might not visit the UK in the future. He thanked the Eagles fans for embracing their songs and taking them into their hearts in case ‘they don’t pass this way again.’ For now, it remains unknown whether the Eagles have plans for future shows in the UK.
As reported by NME, Don Henley said the following during the show:
“In case we don’t pass this way again, I want to thank you all for embracing these songs and taking them into your hearts and homes. We appreciate it.”
