Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares has issued a public statement following the death of a fan after the band’s Sydney show, as reported via Instagram.

A Fear Factory fan was killed in a triple-fatal car crash while traveling home from the band’s May 22nd show in Sydney, Australia. Cazares addressed the tragedy with a message of condolence and a reminder to fans about road safety.

“We were deeply saddened to hear about the tragic accident involving one of the fans who attended our Sydney show,” Cazares said. “Our thoughts and condolences go out to their family, friends, and everyone affected by this loss.”

Cazares also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the band’s supporters while urging caution.

“We’re grateful to everyone who comes out to support Fear Factory around the world, and we simply want to remind everyone to travel safely and look out for one another on the road home,” he continued. “Much respect and sympathy from all of us in Fear Factory.”

The crash has since drawn wider attention, adding a somber note to what was otherwise part of an active touring run for the band in Australia. Authorities have confirmed the severity of the incident, and further details have emerged about the circumstances surrounding the collision.

ABC News reported that police are investigating a triple-fatal road crash that occurred in Sans Souci, in Sydney’s south, following the Fear Factory concert on May 22nd. The vehicle involved struck another car, resulting in three deaths.

As ABC News detailed, the crash unfolded after a man police had attempted to speak to during a welfare check fled the scene in a high-performance Audi. He then smashed into a sedan, killing three people in what has become one of the more tragic road incidents in Sydney in recent memory.

The fatal crash took place during Fear Factory’s Australian tour run, which brought the band to Sydney for the May 22nd performance. The band has not announced any changes to their touring schedule in the wake of the tragedy. No further details about the victims have been publicly shared by the group at this time.

Fear Factory, fronted by vocalist Burton C. Bell alongside Cazares on guitar, has maintained a loyal global fanbase since forming in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. The band is known for its industrial metal sound and has continued to tour extensively in recent years. Cazares’s swift public response reflects the close connection the band maintains with its supporters around the world.
