Dee Snider Needs To See Gene Simmons And Paul Stanley In Coffins To Believe KISS Farewell

Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider recently shared his doubts about the finality of KISS’ ‘End Of The Road’ tour in an interview with Canada’s The Metal Voice. Revealing that he’s been a fan of the band since day one, the singer said:

“But the idea of the farewell tour, I don’t know what to believe. And people say, ‘Well, do you think it’s for real?’ I said, ‘This is what I know: when I see the bodies in the KISS coffins, then I’ll say, ‘They’re done. They’re done.” When they’re laying there in the coffins, I’ll say, ‘Good work. Good job.'”

KISS’ New Phase As Avatars

The ‘End Of The Road’ tour concluded with its final performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on December 2. At the end of the event, the band announced their plan to continue as digital avatars, which Snider commented on by saying:

“Oh my god. People, who knows what they’ll pay money to see? They’re paying money to see a Michael Jackson avatar, [an alleged] pedophile. In Las Vegas, the show ‘One’ it’s still a hologram, and they’re doing all his hits. And it’s been up and running for years. So, who knows? Maybe, maybe.”

Simmons And Stanley’s Explanations On Virtual KISS

KISS members collaborated with Pophouse Entertainment for the band’s new phase and talked about their future as avatars in a recent roundtable discussion. During the talk, Stanley explained:

“What we’ve accomplished has been amazing, but it’s not enough. The band deserves to live on because the band is bigger than we are. It’s exciting for us to go the next step and see KISS immortalized. I mean, we’ve spent 50 years building it to this point.”

Simmons added:

“We can be forever young and forever iconic by taking us to places we’ve never dreamed of before. The technology is going to make Paul jump higher than he’s ever done before.”

Reactions From Rock Fans

The reaction on social media to this decision has been mixed. Some fans commented that the band didn’t ‘seem to know when they’ve overstayed their welcome,’ while a Facebook user wrote:

“Knowing when to walk away is an art form. They are old men. Thank you for all you gave to music and entertainment, but it’s over; go home and enjoy the rest of your life.”

Referring to the audience, someone said:

“If people actually pay to go watch virtual KISS, well, they deserve what they get. lol”
