Disturbed frontman David Draiman has shared a rare update on the band’s upcoming album. He offered fans a glimpse into the new material being developed as a follow-up to their Divisive record, in a post shared on Instagram.
Draiman spoke candidly about the new songs, describing the experience of stepping away and returning to the material with fresh ears.
“I’ll tell you one thing… I’ve had a lot of time to go over these last songs we’ve written,” Draiman said. “Took time away, came back to them, and fell in love with them all over again. Diverse, fresh, and powerful.”
The frontman also teased what fans can expect, hinting that the new direction may come as a surprise.
“It’ll be some time…but I can’t wait for these songs to see the light of day,” he continued. “I think everyone will be pleasantly…surprised.”
No official release date has been announced, but Draiman’s comments suggest the band remains enthusiastic about the direction of the forthcoming project.
The update comes as Disturbed continues to maintain a strong presence both on the road and on the festival circuit, keeping momentum alive while the new record takes shape.
Ticketmaster reported that Disturbed completed The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour in 2025. The run kicked off in February and continued through May. The tour celebrated the landmark anniversary of the band’s debut album. It featured support from Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Daughtry, and Nothing More on select North American dates, underscoring the band’s continued drawing power on the live circuit.
Following that run, the band kept its live schedule packed heading into 2026. Blabbermouth noted that Disturbed is set to headline the 2026 Inkcarceration Festival alongside Bad Omens and Limp Bizkit, with the band topping the bill on Friday, July 17.
The band’s touring activity has been accompanied by growing anticipation for new music. Ad-Hoc News reported that Disturbed has announced a 2026 US tour return described as a “heavier new era.” The tour promises fresh material, fan-favorite hits, and a renewed live production built for maximum impact, signaling that the band is gearing up for a significant new chapter.
With an active touring schedule and Draiman’s enthusiastic words about the new songs, all signs point to Disturbed building steadily toward what could be one of their most anticipated releases in years.
