Jennifer Young recently told the Post that she is the mother of Dave Grohl’s secret child, as Page Six reported.
Young is a 38-year-old rock fan from Los Angeles. The baby girl, born on August 1, 2024, has Grohl’s last name. Young, a tattooed music lover from Florida, lives quietly in LA with her mother and often takes her 7-month-old daughter for walks.
She asked not to reveal the baby’s name due to angry fans. Young said, “Protecting her identity is really important.”
Young seems to love music, with tattoos of Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo. Her baby was seen wearing a helmet decorated with Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Elvis Presley stickers. Young has no public social media, so little is known about her life.
The Foo Fighters frontman’s representative did not comment on the request. The musician, married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, revealed in September 2024 that he had a child with another woman, a month after the baby was born.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote on Instagram at the time. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Grohl said he would be involved in his daughter’s life, but it’s unclear how often he sees Young. They’ve never been seen together, but both were in New York City on Valentine’s Day weekend. Grohl was there for the ‘Saturday Night Live’ anniversary concert, but it’s unknown why Young was in the city or if they met.
A former classmate described Young as ‘quiet’ and ‘pleasant’ but was surprised by her connection to Grohl. They said, “I feel like she was more into Gwen Stefani than the Foo Fighters.”
Grohl also has three daughters with Blum: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
