Dani Filth Signals Completing Cradle Of Filth’s Collaboration With Ed Sheeran

The music industry is a magical place where even the most unexpected collaborations can happen with the right timing and attitude. Hence, many people were initially surprised to hear about Cradle of Filth and Ed Sheeran’s work together but later wanted to see the finished product. In a recent Instagram post, lead singer Dani Filth gave hints about their collaboration and its release date.

“A little over a week ago, I was having lunch with the unlikely lads, having just done something fun,” said Filth in the caption of his new IG post. In the picture, the musician was spotted testing beers with Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth’s producer Scott Atkins.

This collaboration started with an interview with Ed Sheeran. The pop star admitted his desire to make metal music and revealed what a big fan he was of Cradle of Filth. The band’s frontman Dani Filth saw this opportunity and the duo decided to see if they could work together.

As a result, Filth and Sheeran began working on music in the latter’s house, eventually giving birth to a song yet to be named. However, their track was put on a halt due to the issues in both musicians’ private lives. Fortunately for their fans curious fans, Filth once talked about this collaboration and mentioned the release date. He said, “It’ll be released when it’s finished. We don’t know when it’s coming out.”

While he was shy about giving a date, Filth did talk about this rather unexpected duo. The singer noted, “There isn’t an irony in it. We appreciate the marriage of extremes. So I’d instead do a track with someone like Ed Sheeran than I would do a song with, think of someone else. I’m not going to name names. But the clash of interests, the marriage of extremes, that’s interesting in itself.”

It appears that the finish line is close with Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth’s song. Though a release date hasn’t been announced yet, their fans are at the edge of their seats about this collaboration. They will most likely get an announcement via social media posts from two artists and get to hear the song in the near future.
