Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan recently addressed the band’s upcoming live schedule. He revealed that they have very limited plans for the rest of the year.
Donegan explained that following the band’s major 25th-anniversary tour in 2024, members have been taking personal time off. Only two shows are currently on the calendar for 2026.
“[We have a] couple of shows coming up, as you may know,” he said. “Just two shows, that’s all we’re doing this whole year. Obviously, last year was the big 25th-anniversary tour [celebrating 25 years of Disturbed’s debut album, 2000’s ‘The Sickness’]. And we were in Europe. We finished up in Europe last fall.”
“So we’ve been off this whole time. Everybody’s taking some down time, some family time, some personal things in our lives, and finding our own ways to stay busy. But [we’re playing] two shows this year. That’s it. We have July 17th coming up in Mansfield, Ohio at the Inkcarceration festival. We headline that Friday night. For those of you that are familiar with the movie ‘Shawshank Redemption’, it is held at that prison. So just outside the prison they’ve set up a few stages.”
Donegan went on to detail the festival’s lineup and the band’s second scheduled appearance later in the month.
“Massive lineup all weekend long. We’re just headlining Friday night. You got Limp Bizkit headlining one of the nights, and I think Bad Omens the other one. But massive lineup with many great bands. And then a week later we come down to Hollywood, Florida to play the Hard Rock Casino down there. We haven’t been there in probably 20-something years.”
“So we decided to pick up a show down there and do a show on the 25th of July. So we got a lot of friends that are actually gonna do a couple road trips. They’re gonna do the Ohio show and the Florida show. So if you guys are looking to check out either one of those, it’s the only two we have this year.”
When asked about future plans beyond these two dates, Donegan was candid about the uncertainty surrounding 2027.
“So nothing to announce for ’27 just yet. We have our talks internally with management and amongst the band, but nothing that I could put out just yet. We’re still trying to get together a game plan and see where everyone’s heads are at, where we are with material, where we are with future touring. So just one step at a time. We’re just gonna bang out these two shows.”
“I definitely miss it. It’s been long enough,” he continued. “I think Scotland was our last show we did in late October last year. So definitely going through withdrawals. So [I’m] looking forward to those two [shows].”
Fans eager to catch Disturbed live will need to act quickly. The band’s only confirmed appearances this year are the Inkcarceration Festival on July 17th and the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida on July 25th.
The scaled-back 2026 schedule stands in sharp contrast to the relentless pace of the band’s recent touring cycle. That run saw them crisscross both North America and Europe in support of one of heavy metal’s most celebrated debut albums.
The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour was a landmark undertaking for the band. It featured Megadeth as a special guest and was structured as a two-act show. Act I was dedicated to performing The Sickness in its entirety, complete with a theatrical Hannibal Lecter-style entrance by frontman David Draiman. The format gave longtime fans a rare chance to hear the classic album performed front to back in a live setting.
The tour’s European leg proved to be a particularly emotional chapter for the band. A sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena stood out as a milestone moment. Donegan described it as an emotional night — a testament to how deeply the band’s fanbase has grown since the album’s original release in 2000.
The anniversary tour stretched well into 2025, with the band continuing to perform across major venues in the United States, including a stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The sheer scale of the run makes the current downtime understandable, as the members recharge after one of the most intensive touring periods in the band’s career.
With no new material or touring plans confirmed for 2027, the coming months will be a waiting game for the Disturbed faithful. Given the demand the anniversary tour generated, both summer dates are expected to draw significant crowds.
