Cradle of Filth have canceled their planned show in Guatemala City. The announcement came through a statement posted on Instagram. This cancellation follows their recently scrapped Panama date and ongoing public friction within the band.
Promoter Drmrs Entertainment cited electrical problems at the venue that created unsafe conditions for musicians and crew in their new post.
“Unfortunately, we’re forced to cancel tonight’s show for Cradle Of Filth due to power issues found at the venue,” the company stated. “We have done multiple shows at this venue before and had no issues, but for some reason tonight was NOT GROUNDED. Tonight we went through an issue that makes it extremely dangerous for the band and crew to perform and put together a show, as there could be someone literally electroshocked. Safety is the most important thing for us at this company and we have always made it very clear at all our shows.”
The statement included hopes for a future return:
“We will try to reschedule this show sometime soon as the time and conditions dictate is safe to perform. Deep apologies to Guatemalan fans. Please be sure the band was there and ready to perform for their fans after such a long time not playing there, but the venue difficulties (literally not being grounded) makes it totally impossible for the band to perform,” wrote Sergio Roa of Drmrs Entertainment.
The venue issues emerge during a period of significant upheaval for the British extreme metal outfit. Consequence reported that keyboardist Zoë M. Federoff unexpectedly left the band on August 24, 2025, during their South American tour. She cited “personal reasons” for her departure, which came immediately after their São Paulo performance at Carioca Club.
The situation escalated further with guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda’s dismissal. Myth of Rock revealed that Šmerda was officially fired on August 27, 2025. This occurred just hours after he announced his intention to leave after the current Latin American tour. The band has continued performing with a reduced lineup since these changes.
Frontman Dani Filth maintained a resolute public position throughout these developments. Vice documented Filth’s late August statement assuring fans that “The Screaming Of The Americas tour will continue despite the turmoil.” He characterized Federoff’s exit as a “strange turn of events” and rejected accusations against management as “unjust and unfounded.”
The band’s Latin American tour originally included shows across Peru, Colombia, Panama, and Guatemala. Despite these recent setbacks, the group has expressed commitment to rescheduling the canceled performances when conditions allow.
