Courtney Love Names The Person Who Protected Kurt Cobain And Britney Spears

Courtney Love recently took to Twitter to reveal the one individual who has been instrumental in helping her hold onto Kurt Cobain‘s estate. This unexpected revelation came as a response to a tweet discussing Britney Spears‘ conservatorship case.

Never one to shy away from expressing her opinions on social media, Love often uses the platform to expose what she deems as troublesome or unjust. A case in point is her recent disapproval of U2’s partnership with Irving Azoff‘s Full Stop Management, expressing that it was more discouraging than Lou Taylor’s controversial deeds in the pop industry.

Talking about this kind of problem before, the musician has also been an outspoken advocate for Britney Spears in her struggle against her father’s conservatorship and TriStar, the management company she worked with. In fact, following the latter’s threats against the company openly naming Taylor and Robin Greenhill, she revealed that the two had sought to harm her and her family in the same way they had targeted Britney.

This didn’t remain as the only time she spoke about the topic, of course. In a recent exchange, a Twitter user claimed that individuals in Britney’s life, including her ex-assistant Felicia Culotta, hadn’t done enough to help her. The user further asserted that Sam Lutfi, Spears’ former manager, was one of the few who genuinely tried to rescue her from the conservatorship.

Love supported this perspective in her response, confirming that Lutfi was indeed the sole person who attempted to halt the conservatorship. She also mentioned that he came into her life because he was aware of those seeking to steal Kurt Cobain’s estate and subsequently assisted her in the battle to preserve it.

The Hole vocalist explained:

“Had a chaotic/messy era with Sam Lutfi, who never wavered from this. Easy scapegoat – wrong place, time, skin color. He entered my life because he knew who was trying to steal Kurt’s estate, which we still own. He is the only one who tried to stop Britney’s conservatorship for 12 years consistently.”

Interestingly, Sam Lutfi had also been Courtney Love’s manager for a while until she obtained a restraining order against him in 2018. This bears resemblance to Britney Spears’ family, who similarly filed a restraining order against Lutfi in the early 2000s, accusing him of attempting to control the musician’s life and finances.
