Metal fans seem to love Corey Taylor’s cover of Kansas’ ‘Dust in the Wind’ with Bad Omens.
“Check out the cover of ‘Dust in the Wind’ with Bad Omens, out now everywhere!” Taylor wrote on Instagram while announcing the song on Instagram. “The song is part of the soundtrack for ‘Queen of the Ring,’ hitting theaters March 7th. Tickets are on sale across the US now!”
“I’ve never thought I needed to hear corey taylor and noah sebastian together until listening to this masterpiece,” a fan wrote in the comments on YouTube.
Another one shared, “This deserves a grammy, but will unfortunately probably not get one due to it solely being two metal musicians singing it.” One other person added, “Corey Taylor and Noah Sebastian breaking my heart was not on my 2025 Bingo Card. That’s Amazingly, Hauntingly Beautiful.”
“Corey and Noah sang this beautifully and I love how they slowed the tempo down to give this song from the point of view of despair so the words have more depth. Absolutely phenomenal by everyone involved,” another fan said.
The cover by Taylor and Bad Omens is on the soundtrack for ‘Queen of the Ring,’ a movie about Mildred Burke, the first female wrestler to make a million dollars. At the time, women’s wrestling was illegal in America.
‘Queen of the Ring’ was written and directed by Ash Avildsen, founder of Sumerian Records, and will be released on March 7.
Later this year, Bad Omens will perform at festivals like Sonic Temple, Welcome to Rockville, and Louder Than Life.
Slipknot will play at Sweden Rock Festival, Rock Im Park, Resurrection Fest, and more during their 2025 European tour, starting June 4.
