This announcement follows her previous statement about her transgender journey made last year.

“In August of last year, I decided to take the path of happiness and being true to myself,” she continued. “I came out as transgender and started hormone replacement therapy, and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.”

The name change represents another step in her ongoing transition journey after publicly coming out as transgender.

This personal milestone comes from a family that has faced significant challenges and public attention since Chester Bennington’s tragic death in 2017.

Wikipedia documented that Chester Bennington had six children from two marriages, with Draven being his child from his first marriage to Samantha Marie Olit in 2002. The Linkin Park frontman was known for his powerful vocals and deeply personal lyrics that often reflected his own struggles with mental health and childhood trauma.

Chester Bennington’s life was marked by early adversity that would later influence his music and advocacy work. Wikipedia and various biographical sources revealed that Bennington openly discussed his childhood trauma, including sexual abuse that began when he was seven years old. This contributed to his lifelong battles with depression and substance abuse.

The late singer’s openness about his personal struggles resonated with millions of fans worldwide. It became a defining characteristic of Linkin Park’s music. His willingness to address difficult topics through his art created a legacy that continues to impact his family and fans, as evidenced by his children’s own journeys of self-discovery and authenticity.

Violet’s decision to live authentically reflects the same courage her father demonstrated throughout his career when addressing personal pain and mental health challenges. The Bennington family’s continued presence in the public eye serves as a reminder of Chester’s lasting influence. It also highlights the ongoing importance of supporting individuals on their personal journeys of identity and healing.
