Bryan Adams Recalls Taking Kate Moss’ Half-Naked Photos

3 Min Read

Bryan Adams is not only a rocker and also a professional photographer since the late 90’s. He had the opportunity to photograph many celebrities in his career. But when asked about his favorite photos in an interview with Loudersound, Adams chose the semi-nude shots Kate Moss posed for him. He said:

“Kate Moss was another great person to work with. The first time I worked with her, her agent called me up and said: ‘Kate’s coming over, she’s in the taxi, and she only wants to wear black stockings.’ We did the photos in my kitchen. But I also had the builders in. They were trooping in and out of the house. Kate was so nonchalant. The builders would be like: ‘Alright, Kate!’ And she was going: ‘Yeah, alright.’ Meanwhile, she was sitting there in just her pants.'”

Bryan Adams calls himself ‘a photographer moonlighting as a singer.’ In the same interview, the singer also revealed the motivation behind his decision to become a professional photographer. He said:

“I never thought my work was any good. I always thought I had to get a ‘real’ photographer. The more I did it, though, the more confidence I got in my own work. I took some pictures when we were doing the On A Day Like Today album [1998], and decided I liked them better than the pictures we’d done with the ‘real’ photographer. So I just started taking things into my own hands, basically. These days I’m a photographer moonlighting as a singer. “

Adams also expressed regret about his late introduction to professional photography. He said:

“I’ve always carried a camera with me. It’s really a shame I didn’t use my pictures earlier, because I look back on all the stuff I took for each album and backstage… I wish I’d put them out.”

Adams Also Shot the Album Cover Of Rammstein’s ‘Zeit’

When Bryan Adams was asked about his favorite photos, another answer he gave was the photos he took for Rammstein’s latest album ‘Zeit.’ The photos were taken at Berlin’s Adlershof, the Aerodynamischer Park, which preserves a series of buildings built in the 1920s and 1930s for the use and testing of airplanes. Adams shared his thoughts about the photo shoot on his Instagram account on April 30, 2022. He shared:

“I got to work with the amazing snapping the photos for their new album Zeit. The shoot took place in Berlin in an old pre-war wind tunnel, and this obscure beautiful brutalist object on the cover was just behind where we were working. An amazing day.”

Bryan Adams is one of the few artists who has been successful in both his professional photography and music careers.
