Gene Simmons Explains How He Is Still Able To Perform With KISS At The Age Of 71

In an interview with The Sun, KISS bassist and co-lead singer Gene Simmons talked about his ability to remain healthy and in good psychical shape regardless of his age and revealed how he managed to stay away from all sorts of bad habits.

Before the global spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the legendary band KISS started their very last tour named ‘End of the Road World Tour‘ on January 31, 2019, in Vancouver, Canada. The tour was set to end with a final show on July 17, 2021, in New York. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of their performances which were planned to take place in 2020 had to be postponed into 2021.

Recently, Gene Simmons joined an interview with The Sun and responded to some questions about his healthy lifestyle which made it possible for him to perform live on stage with KISS at the age of 71. In his response, Simmons stated that the products that promise to keep people young can’t substitute for genes that a person has.

Gene also mentioned that he is about to turn 71 and still able to perform live since he has never used drugs or booze. He said that the more ‘shit’ people consume the more they are going to be walking pots of shit. According to Simmons, the key to keep his body healthy at the age of 71 is not consuming any drugs, booze, or cigarettes, all of which have an undeniable contribution to cancer.

Here is what Gene Simmons said about the recipe of his health:

“You can talk about hair creams and dick extension formulas and all that stuff, but there’s no substitute for genes. I’m 71, come into the ring with me. I’ll show you what this guy can do. I’m 71 because I’ve never used drugs or booze.

You can fill your body with garbage. Put it into your car and see how far your car goes. I don’t care if it’s a Rolls-Royce, it’s going to splutter and die. The more shit you put into your body the more you’re going to be a walking pot of shit.

I don’t mean to say I don’t love cake or pasta, or things like that, but crack is out of the question. Drugs don’t work, booze doesn’t work, cigarettes — all the people who think you look cool. You’re fucking around with cancer. It just doesn’t work.”
