REO Speedwagon bassist Bruce Hall addressed fan concerns about the band’s relationship with Kevin Cronin on his Facebook account.

“Kevin’s intro still rings true! Who’s ready for June 14th?” Hall initially posted. A fan commented, “Oh how I miss those days. The days when I believed true brotherhood was real.” Hall firmly responded, “It was absolutely real.”

Hall shared the song ‘Let’s Be-Bop’ before the exchange. The post preceded an upcoming benefit concert where REO Speedwagon members will perform without Kevin Cronin.

The interaction highlights ongoing discussions about the band members’ relationships and future plans.

A report from American Songwriter revealed that Hall invited all former members to the June 14th benefit concert. He also offered Cronin a virtual participation option.

Ultimate Classic Rock noted that Cronin has scheduled a summer 2025 tour. He will perform with Styx and Don Felder under the banner “Kevin Cronin Band,” offering fans an “REO Speedwagon experience.”

Tensions surfaced when Hall stated Cronin had “quit” by choosing to tour with a different bassist. AXS TV covered Cronin’s response. He insisted he “never quit REO Speedwagon” and called certain demands “irresponsible.”

Both musicians continue to acknowledge their shared history with REO Speedwagon. They now pursue separate musical paths while maintaining respect for their legacy.
