The band accompanied the photo with a heartfelt caption celebrating their long-standing partnership.

“From New Jersey to Forever. 38 years later… still going!” Bon Jovi wrote in the caption of the photo.

The rehearsal image came amid widespread speculation about Torres’ status with the group. Torres himself had previously addressed the rumors directly, firmly denying any plans to step away.

“Hi, everybody. Tico Torres from Bon Jovi here. I’m here to dispel a lot of rumors that I’ve read, people calling me up, saying, ‘Did you retire from music, from the band?’ Well, no. I have no idea how this stuff starts,” Torres said. “Musicians don’t retire, especially me. Me and the boys, Jon [Bon Jovi] and everybody, we’re still making music. I mean, the best we’ve ever been.”

Torres concluded his message with a blunt dismissal of the speculation.

“All I can tell you is don’t listen to what you read. It’s most likely bullshit. See you later,” he added.

The rehearsal photo serves as further confirmation that Torres remains an active member of Bon Jovi as the band prepares for their upcoming tour. The image and Torres’ statement together mark a significant moment for a band that has navigated lineup questions and health scares in recent years, yet continues to push forward with new material and live performances.

Torres has been Bon Jovi’s drummer since the band’s formation in New Jersey in 1983. He is one of the longest-serving members alongside Jon Bon Jovi himself. His presence behind the kit has been a defining element of the band’s sound across decades of arena rock, from their breakthrough album “Slippery When Wet” in 1986 to their more recent releases.

Jon Bon Jovi underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022, which forced the cancellation of tour dates and raised broader questions about the group’s future. The band used that period to regroup, releasing the album “Forever” in 2024 — their first studio record in six years — signaling a clear intent to remain active.

Torres’ continued involvement is particularly meaningful given that the band has already seen the departure of longtime guitarist Richie Sambora, who left in 2013 and has not returned. Losing another founding-era member would have represented a far more significant shift in the band’s identity. The rehearsal photo stands as a reassuring signal for fans.

With the upcoming tour now in active preparation, Bon Jovi appears to be entering a new chapter with its core rhythm section intact. The band has sold over 130 million records worldwide. The sight of Torres and Jon Bon Jovi back in a rehearsal room together carries weight well beyond a single social media post.
