Former Arch Enemy singer Alissa White-Gluz shared her first message to fans after officially joining DragonForce as their new singer. The statement was posted on Instagram.
The statement addressed the widespread rumors about her move to DragonForce and outlined her excitement about the collaboration.
“Hey everyone, the rumors are true. I am teaming up with DragonForce,” White-Gluz said. “That’s right. We had so much fun working together on Burning Heart in the past and then I also jumped on stage with them bunch of times. That was super fun too.”
She continued to explain the natural progression of their partnership and what fans can expect.
“And it seemed like you u-guys are loving this as much as we are. So we figured, ‘Why don’t we just doing that?’ So, we have been working together for a while now to bring you some amazing new music that we are super proud of,” she continued. “We gotta get on tour soon, so keep your eyes peeled and we will see you out there.”
White-Gluz’s announcement comes after a period of significant transitions in her career. It marks her official entry into the British power metal band’s lineup alongside existing vocalist Marc Hudson.
Louder Sound reported that the Canadian vocalist’s appointment was announced by DragonForce in early May 2026, creating a dual-vocalist setup for the band. Her first live performances with the group are scheduled for this weekend at the Welcome To Rockville festival and later at Sonic Temple on May 17, 2026.
The collaboration between White-Gluz and DragonForce has deeper roots than many fans realize. Metal Injection noted that the partnership began in 2024 when she provided co-lead vocals for an alternative version of “Burning Heart” from DragonForce’s album “Warp Speed Warriors.” This initial collaboration laid the groundwork for her eventual full-time role with the band.
White-Gluz’s move to DragonForce caps a whirlwind period that began with her departure from Arch Enemy in November 2025. Kerrang revealed that she cited a desire to avoid treating music “like just another day at the office” as her reason for leaving the Swedish melodic death metal band after more than a decade as their frontwoman.
“I am so thankful for the amazing support… I want to keep pushing my boundaries and delivering exceptional music and live experiences to the fans that I cherish so much,” White-Gluz expressed about her new venture.
The timing of her DragonForce debut is particularly significant as the performances will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s fan-favorite album “Inhuman Rampage.” The shows will include an updated version of their signature track “Through the Fire and Flames.” Meanwhile, her former band Arch Enemy has moved forward with new vocalist Lauren Hart from Once Human, who debuted on the track “To The Last Breath” and performed live in Beijing in March 2026.
