Adam Lambert Is Not Happy With The Actor Considered For The George Michael Biopic

It has been rumored that there are plans for a new biopic about George Michael. When asked if he would be interested in playing the pop icon, ‘The White Lotus’ star Theo James expressed his eagerness for the possible opportunity. However, Adam Lambert wasn’t impressed with this idea at all.

During an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ last week, the handsome actor Theo James was asked by a viewer if he would star in a possible George Michael biopic to play the pop icon. Although there haven’t been any official announcements from George Michael’s estate, rumors have been circulating that we’ll see a biopic in the future.

Theo James revealed his excitement toward the possibility by highlighting his and George’s Greek heritage. “Oh yeah, I would love that,” the actor said. “He’s a lot of Greek, and I’m a lot of Greek. Put that Greek together, and you get falafel.”

LGBTQ+ news source, the Advocate, shared this news in a recent Instagram post. It would be a surprise if the LGBTQ+ activist and proud queer Adam Lambert didn’t come across this. After reading about the news, he decided to leave a comment to express his disappointment. “Yay, another straight man playing a gay icon,” Lambert wrote.

The issue Adam Lambert brought forward has been debated in recent years, as non-gay actors have portrayed Freddie Mercury and Elton John. However, it seems Adam has nothing to be concerned about, as George Michael’s estate denied the rumors about a possible biopic.
