Wolfgang Van Halen Announces Another Live Performance Of Mammoth WVH
Mammoth WVH founder Wolfgang Van Halen has recently shared the exciting news of his band’s upcoming live performance on The Today Show during which they will present a special acoustic performance of their song ‘Distance.’
The late guitar legend Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang has been following the footsteps of his father. Wolf was the youngest member of Van Halen until the devastating death of his father which led to the band’s dissolution. While he was only 16 years old, Wolfgang replaced the band’s bassist Micheal Anthony and joined the recordings of their 12th and last studio album, ‘A Different Kind Of Truth,’ which was released in 2012.
Besides his successful career with Van Halen, Wolf has been working on his solo projects for a while now. In November 2020, he announced that he started a new band named Mammoth WVH, whose name was inspired by the initial name that his father used for Van Halen. After losing his father almost three months ago, Wolf released the first single titled ‘Distance‘ from his highly-anticipated album to honor his beloved father.
As you may recall, on February 11th, Wolfgang Van Halen and his band joined the Jimmy Kimmel Live show to perform the songs from his album live for the first time. Mammoth WVH’s first show received appreciation from the fans who wanted to hear more from the band’s upcoming album. On the very same day, Wolf announced that his highly-anticipated album will be released on June 11, 2021.
Recently on Twitter, Wolfgang shared a tweet to announce another live performance of Mammoth WVH. According to his announcement, the band will join The Today Show on February 19th at 8 am EST and they will present a special acoustic performance of their song ‘Distance.’ Wolf stated that he hopes that his fans would tune in and enjoy their special performance.
Here is what Wolfgang Van Halen stated in his announcement:
