Whitesnake’s David Coverdale Updates Tommy Aldridge’s Health Status

Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale recently shared a Twitter post to give the latest information on Tommy Aldridge‘s health status. The rocker revealed nothing serious to worry about the musician’s well-being.

On May 10, 2022, Whitesnake launched its previously postponed Farewell Tour at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. After completing the UK arena tour, the band headed towards the other parts of Europe for the remaining gig dates. Following their show at Hellfest in Clisson, France, on June 23, the group was scheduled to perform in Cartagena, Spain, at the Rock Imperium festival.

However, David Coverdale announced with an Instagram post that they had to cancel the show in Spain for unknown reasons. The singer stated that they are trying their best to deliver good performances to the audience and overcome the difficulties they’ve faced during this tour, yet they can’t avoid canceling the gig in Spain. Before his post, the Rock Imperium organizers also said that the drummer had severe health problems, which is why the band had to cancel the show.

In his recent Twitter post, Coverdale shared a photo of Tommy Aldridge and wrote that he wasn’t feeling well but is getting better now. The rocker didn’t confirm the statement made by the Rock Imperium organizers by unfolding that the drummer never had severe health issues. David Coverdale gave the good news to the fans and revealed that Aldridge would be back on the stage with them very soon.

David Coverdale’s Twitter post read:

“Now hear this! Tommy was under the weather, as we all can get, but is getting better: he never had what was inaccurately described as ‘severe health problems’ and can’t wait to get back out there to perform for the fans! The Spanish promoter released a misleading statement.”
