Valerie Bertinelli Opens Up About If Wolfgang Can Carry On The Van Halen Name Well

Van Halen late guitarist Eddie Van Halen‘s ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli shared a post on her official Twitter page revealing her opinion whether her son, former Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen can live up to the name of Van Halen, and apparently, Wolfgang’s mother completely supports her son.
As many of you know, actress Valeria Bertinelli was married to legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen on April 11, 1981. The couple welcomed their first child, Wolfgang Van Halen ten years after their marriage. However, the two separated in 2001 and divorced on December 20, 2007, due to Eddie’s drug and smoking addiction.
Their son, Wolfgang Van Halen started his musical career with his father’s band, Van Halen, when he replaced Michael Anthony as the band’s bassist in late 2006 at the age of 15. Wolfgang only appeared on one album with Van Halen which is the 12th studio album, ‘A Different Kind of Truth,’ released on February 7, 2012.
Unfortunately, Van Halen disbanded after the heartbreaking loss of Eddie Van Halen back in 2020, while fans assumed for a long time that the band can continue without the iconic guitarist, Wolfgang made a strict statement in an interview back in November that there can’t be Van Halen without Eddie Van Halen.
Since Wolfgang Van Halen formed his own solo band, MammothWVH, after the disbandment and released a sneak peek of his brand new song, ‘You’re To Blame’ on his official social media accounts on February 2, 2021, a radio channel shared a post on Twitter asking for the fans whether Wolfgang will be able to carry on the Van Halen brand.
Here is what they said:
“Get a taste of the next MammothWVH song ‘You’re To Blame’ written and sung by Wolfgang Van Halen. Plus he played all the instruments. Do you think he will carry on the Van Halen name well?”
After seeing the post, Wolfgang Van Halen’s mother Valerie Bertinelli also shared a post on her official Twitter page revealing her opinion about the matter. As expected Wolfgang’s mother has her full support and trust in him when it comes to honoring the name of Van Halen with his music.
Here is what Bertinelli said:
“Yes. I do believe he will“
