Landon followed in his father’s footsteps and signed to DTA Records to release his first single. The singer refers to the song as ‘a mess up little love story,’ which was presumed to be about his own life with his now former girlfriend, Charli D’Amelio.

The drummer was honored to work with his son. He said of working with him:

“It was so amazing getting to work with Landon. To watch him grow up playing music and writing music since he was a kid has been a dream come true.”

Travis both played the drums and helped in the production of the song. He continued:

“He asked me to come in and help him with his song ‘Friends with Your Ex,’ It was an honor to produce it and play drums on it.”

How Landon’s Career Started

Travis realized his son’s potential in music when Landon was writing lyrics for Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Die in California.’ The song was co-written and produced by Travis himself, and it was included in Machine Gun Kelly’s sixth studio album, ‘Mainstream Sellout.’ After releasing a snippet of the song on his TikTok account, it went viral, and eventually, the song was rerecorded, and Landon got himself a deal.

Landon earlier made it clear that he always wanted to make music since he was little and was inspired by his dad.

The singer’s debut single was released on September 22. You can listen to it below.
