Lande expressed his excitement about the project finally being made public. He reflected on nearly two years of work and his pride in contributing to the record.

“TONY IOMMI solo album! Finally the cat is out of the bag! After nearly 2 years in the making, I’m extremely happy to see my friend Tony Iommi’s solo album From the Dark hitting the stores!” Lande said. “I am extremely proud to have been co-writing and singing on this album! Thank you my friend, for the challenge and experience, it is an absolute honour to work with you! A big thank you to producer Mike Exeter, for baring over with my pickiness and bringing out the best in me, and to Ben and Ralph Baker for navigating everything brilliantly!”

The vocalist also took a moment to acknowledge the other musicians who contributed to the album.

“I also want to give praise to our fellow musicians on the album, Becky Baldwin (Mercyful Fate) and Karl Brazil Drummer (Robbie Williams), you guys nailed it and better players can’t be found!” he continued. “All songs are written and composed by the Striking Viking and the most powerful and legendary Brummie in existence!”

Lande closed his statement by reflecting on the significance of the collaboration and pointing fans toward the album’s first release.

“I am humbled and very grateful for having the opportunity to put my mark on this great album, for a rock singer it can’t get more significant than this!” he said. “First single and video ‘World Alone’ out now, hope you all like it as much as we do, be prepared to rock!”

The debut single and video World Alone is now available. It marks the first public taste of the forthcoming collaboration between Lande and Iommi.

From the Dark is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, via BMG Records. It marks Iommi’s first solo studio album in 21 years, following Fused in 2005. The two-decade gap makes the record one of the most anticipated returns in hard rock in recent memory.

Lande is credited as co-writer on all eight tracks of the album. His contribution goes far beyond that of a hired vocalist. The pair’s creative partnership stretches back roughly 20 years, giving the collaboration a depth that goes well beyond a one-off studio pairing.

The full lineup on From the Dark features Becky Baldwin on bass and Karl Brazil on drums. Producer Mike Exeter also contributes keyboards alongside his co-production duties. The tight, focused band setup reflects Iommi’s deliberate approach to crafting the record.

World Alone is described as decidedly up-tempo while remaining unmistakably heavy. That combination sets a clear tone for what listeners can expect from the full release in October.
