Former Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext recently shared an emotional message thanking Jelly Roll for his unwavering support throughout his career, particularly during his public cancellation, in a post shared on Instagram.

The heartfelt statement expressed gratitude for Jelly Roll’s loyalty and friendship over the years. It highlighted how the country-rap star continued to support Vext even during difficult times.

“Years ago at the height of Bad Wolves success my man asked me if I would sing on a track for him. Without hesitation I said absolutely,” Vext said. “While making the 3rd BW record I took a day and dropped this chorus on what turned out to be one of the most memorable collaborations of my career. Jelly Roll over the past 7 years I have seen you and Bunnie Xo grow to superstardom.”

Vext went on to praise Jelly Roll’s character and consistent support throughout his career challenges.

“You never changed. You never stopped answering the phone. Even when I was cancelled you donated to my GoFundMe and gave me a platform to speak,” he continued. “Tonight we celebrated Bunnies monumentally successful book release. A true redemption story outfitted with rockstar royalty and some of the most colorful creative guests all coming together to celebrate two people who rightfully earned the hearts of the masses.”

The message concluded with Vext expressing his emotional response to Jelly Roll’s public endorsement and announcing his return to music.

“Even standing on stage in the sold out ground you called me out and said I was one of the greatest rock singers alive. You guys bright me to tears. Thank you for being the difference in this world. Thank you for all the love and encouragement,” Vext said. “I am so exited for our new collaboration on my new bands release. Today I am officially uncancelled and back.”

This public declaration marks a significant moment in Vext’s career trajectory. This is particularly notable given his history with Bad Wolves and the circumstances surrounding his departure from the band.

Wikipedia reported that Bad Wolves has been managed by Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory since 2017. This management helped guide the band through their rise to prominence. The band achieved massive success with their debut album Disobey in 2018. The album featured their number one hit “Zombie,” a cover of The Cranberries’ classic song that became a viral sensation and established them as a major force in the rock scene.

Vext’s departure from Bad Wolves was surrounded by controversy. This led to what he describes as his “cancellation” from the music industry. During this difficult period, many industry figures distanced themselves from the vocalist. This made Jelly Roll’s continued support particularly meaningful to Vext’s eventual comeback.

The collaboration between Vext and Jelly Roll that he references appears to have been a pivotal moment in both artists’ careers. While Jelly Roll has since achieved mainstream success in country music, his willingness to maintain relationships across genre boundaries demonstrates the kind of loyalty that Vext now celebrates publicly.

The mention of Bunnie Xo’s book release celebration suggests this declaration came during a high-profile industry event. At this event, Jelly Roll’s public endorsement of Vext as “one of the greatest rock singers alive” served as a powerful statement of rehabilitation for the former Bad Wolves frontman.
