Exodus drummer Tom Hunting has addressed the delay of the band’s follow-up to ‘Persona Non Grata’ in a recent interview with 101 WRIF.
“We’ve taken it seriously. We started jamming on some of this music last May,” Hunting said. “And we were slated to record a bunch of times and then a tour would come up.”
“So we were, like, ‘Well, we need to work and make money.’ So we would take the tours,” he continued. “And we went in finally March 1st of this year. And we’ve pretty much been working ever since. I think Gary went home yesterday morning after just being there for pretty much the whole process.”
The band has been working on the new album since March 1st. Guitarist Gary Holt has remained present throughout most of the recording process.
This update emerges as Exodus continues their momentum from previous work while maintaining tour commitments.
Records from official sources show that ‘Persona Non Grata’ was released on November 19, 2021. This milestone release has fueled the band’s extensive touring schedule over the past two years.
CBS San Francisco documented the band’s busy touring schedule. Exodus recently performed at the Mr. Pickles Thrashtacular event. They have also completed a successful European summer tour.
Industry reports reveal additional European tour dates for December. This schedule highlights the band’s ongoing balance between studio work and touring commitments.
The band maintains focus on their new album despite their demanding tour schedule. The recording process continues steadily at their studio.
