In a recent episode of the Fender, Blink 182’s Tom DeLonge not only showcased his new guitar but also teased fans about an upcoming album from the band that’s by far their ‘best.’ He said:

“I still think we’re writing our best songs. I think our album coming out is probably our best album we’ve ever made.”

Besides new material that is apparently on the horizon, the vocalist shared what he thinks about their current reunion tour. Tom explained:

“The production that we brought on this tour is finally the first perfect, cohesive branding and symbol of everything that the band is about. It’s got the nostalgia in there and the history in there, but it’s also got the fun and reverence and childhood charm.”

He added:

“It’s got the rebellion, but it’s got the technology too, so it’s this really cool, like, a rebirth of everything – or the best of everything that we’ve done, but done the way people always wished we would have done it (laughs). Like, ‘Right, you guys aren’t half bad now!’ You know? ‘Thank you!'”

Regarding the tour, they also stopped at this year’s Coachella, where Tom’s performance stirred up some rumors among the festival attendees. Fans were left divided about whether the singer used autotune a Twitter user wrote:

“The amount of autotune on Tom DeLonge’s voice during that Blink performance at Coachella should be illegal.”

Another user wrote:

“[I] Watched some of the Blink-182 reunions, and the amount of autotune on Tom DeLonge’s vocal was hilarious. Dude sounded like an AI version of himself…”
