Slaughter to Prevail has announced they will not be performing their scheduled Canadian shows supporting Falling in Reverse due to visa complications. The announcement was revealed in a statement posted on Slaughter to Prevail’s official Instagram.
The band explained the circumstances behind their cancellation and expressed disappointment over the situation.
“Unfortunately, due to visa issues we will no longer be able to play our upcoming Canadian shows supporting Falling in Reverse,” the band said. “We’re all super disappointed and wanted nothing more than to play these shows. However, sometimes problems outside of our control get in the way.”
The statement detailed the specific challenges they faced with documentation and travel arrangements.
“When we were first preparing for tour, Alex had issues with his passport and US visa which prevented him from leaving the US,” they continued. “After exploring every option and numerous calls with our lawyers, we were able to secure Alex’s visa but have been left waiting for his passport to be returned. We were ready to catch the next flights to Canada as soon as the passport was in our hands but the delivery was delayed further.”
The band also addressed their Canadian fans and outlined future plans.
“Sorry to all the Canadian fans who were excited to see us,” they said. “We’re working hard to make up for these cancellations in the future and already have plans in place. We’ll see you in Spring.”
Despite the Canadian show cancellations, the band confirmed that their remaining tour dates will proceed as scheduled.
“The good news is that moving forward all further shows on this current tour in Europe/Mexico will be going ahead as planned,” they concluded. “It’s been a long and stressful process but we are finally in a place of stability with our travel and touring.”
The cancellation affects fans who were eagerly awaiting the Russian deathcore band’s performance alongside one of metalcore’s most prominent acts.
SeatGeek reported that the cancelled Canadian shows include Falling in Reverse’s highly anticipated performances at major venues such as Toronto’s Budweiser Stage and Montreal’s Centre Bell, scheduled for September 10 and 11, 2025, respectively. These venues represent some of Canada’s premier concert locations, making the cancellation particularly disappointing for the metal community.
Live Nation confirmed that Falling in Reverse’s “God Is A Weapon” tour, which Slaughter to Prevail was set to support, features a popular setlist including hits like “Popular Monster” and “God Is a Weapon.” The tour has been one of the most anticipated metal events of the year, drawing significant attention from both bands’ fanbases.
The visa complications highlight ongoing challenges that international touring acts face when crossing borders for performances. Slaughter to Prevail formed in Russia and is now based internationally. The band has previously navigated complex immigration requirements for their global touring schedule.
Falling in Reverse, led by frontman Ronnie Radke, continues their tour without their planned support act. The band’s recent success with their latest album and singles has made this tour particularly significant for fans across North America. This makes Slaughter to Prevail’s absence notably felt by concertgoers who were expecting the full lineup experience.
