The Real-Life Story Of Lori Maddox: The Groupie Who Made Love With Jimmy Page And David Bowie

Lori Maddox, one of the most famous groupies in the 1970s and often referred to as a ‘baby’ groupie, has one of the most unique stories when it comes to her affairs with the most well-known rock stars such as Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and the legendary musicians David Bowie with whom Maddox allegedly lost her virginity.

As some of you might know, Lori Maddox started paying a visit to the most famous clubs at the young age of 13 such as Whisky A Go Go, Rainbow Bar and Grill, and Rodney Bingenheimer’s English Disco with her friend Sable Starr who was also a groupie to whom people often referred to as the ‘queen of the groupie scene.’

Along with many other groupies which was a normal affair back in the ’70s, a number of women and young girls who desired to experience the lifestyle of rock stars while those rock stars satisfy their sexual appetites, Lori Mattix was regarded as one of the most desired of these baby groupies, therefore, had infamous relationships with musicians such as David Bowie, Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger and many more.

Lori Mattix’s First Sexual Affair Was With David Bowie

During an interview back in 2015 with Thrillist, Lori Maddox opened up about her relationships and revealed every detail about her life as a groupie. Apparently, Maddox had her first sexual experience with the iconic musician David Bowie when she was only a 15-year-old girl. While revealing her experience, Maddow stated that she continued seeing Bowie for the next 10 years several times.

Here is what she said:

“He walked me through his bedroom and into the bathroom, where he dropped his kimono. He got into the tub, already filled with water, and asked me to wash him. Of course, I did. Then he escorted me into the bedroom, gently took off my clothes, and devirginized me.”

After having her first-time experience, Lori Maddox actually had her first threesome when Maddox and Bowie were joined by Sable Starr who was waiting downstairs at the moment. While revealing the relationship, Maddox stressed the fact that despite it sounds awfully wrong, it felt incredible at the time.

Lori Maddox And Jimmy Page Were In Love

As expected, David Bowie was only the beginning since her fame was spreading among the other rock stars such as Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page with whom Lori Maddox had a love and sexual affair for a year and a half. Furthermore, Page was so into Lori that he even asked permission of her mother during their relationship.

“At that point, I was 15 and totally in love with this man. I put him on a pedestal. It became so serious that Jimmy asked my mom for permission to be with me.”

However, the two ended up breaking up when Lori found Jimmy Page with another groupie Bebe Buell in bed which was a total heartbreaking and disappointment for the young Lori who was madly in love with Page. Still, she finds Page as one of the great loves of her life, despite the heartbreak, and other rock stars such as Rolling Stones lead vocalist Mick Jagger in the following years.
