The Offspring’s Noodles Slams Ageing Rockers Who Became ‘Anti-Trans Bigots’

The Offspring guitarist Noodles recently shared his opinion on Twitter about the well-known musicians who come out as anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+. In his tweet, he described the occasion as ‘disheartening:’

“It’s so disheartening to see some ageing rockers outing themselves as anti-trans bigots, especially those rockers who were gender-bending pioneers in their youth.”

The guitarist also opened up about his past and stated how he empathises with ‘outcasts,’ and vocalised his support for the LGBTQ+ community:

“I grew up feeling like an outcast. That’s what led me to Punk. I can’t imagine the struggles you & others in the LGBTQ community have to deal with on a daily basis. Just know you have allies.”

The ‘ageing rockers’ Noodles mentioned could be Carlos Santana since he recently made an anti-trans speech at his Atlantic City concert in between songs, saying:

“When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are. Later on, when you grow out of it, you see things, and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good, but you know it ain’t right. Because a woman is a woman and a man is a man. That’s it. Whatever you wanna do in the closet, that’s your business. I’m OK with that.”
