The Eagles’ Joe Walsh likes Billie Eilish’s music.

“Birds of a feather, we should stick together, I know I said I’d never think I wasn’t better alone,” the guitarist wrote the lyrics of Eilish’s ‘Birds of a Feather’ on his Instagram post, sharing a photo of ostriches from Egypt.

He went on to say, “Can’t change the weather, might not be forever but if it’s forever, it’s even better. Loving my wife, Egypt, Billie Eilish and my ever-growing flock.”

Walsh previously praised Eilish’s performance at the Academy Awards last year, writing on X, “Such a beautiful song and beautiful performance.”

Walsh isn’t the first rocker who said he likes Billie’s music. Michael Stipe attended the Tribeca Film Festival 2024 on June 12. In a TikTok video from the event, he talked about the best and worst changes in music. “The worst is streaming. It’s really bad for the environment. The best, uh… [Pause] I’m really bad with this kind of things. I really like Billie Eilish,” the singer said of Eilish.

Stipe also praised Eilish in a 2019 Vulture interview. The former R.E.M. singer said he wasn’t into modern rock but added, “I listen to ambient music a lot. I like Nils Frahm. I like Billie Eilish. I like some pop music but only in cars that are taking me places that’s less than 15 minutes. I really like Sia.”

Heart’s Ann Wilson also named Eilish as one of the new artists who inspired her. She told Ultimate Guitar, “I think Billie Eilish is good. I like Lzzy Hale. This is pop music, but I think James Blunt is very cool, and, you know, Maroon 5. They’re not exactly brand new, but I think that for pop music’s sake, those are good choices.”

The Eagles’ Las Vegas residency began in September. The band has four shows scheduled for February. Their first gig this month will be on February 14.
