The Dead Daisies have officially started recording their first album with new vocalist Kelly Hansen, posting behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram.
The band shared an update about the studio sessions and announced when fans can expect to hear the new material.
The Dead Daisies wrote in the caption of their Instagram post: “The guys have been hard at work in the Studio and it’s sounding pretty damn ROCKIN’! To be released early 2027. Check out some of the behind the scenes antics !!”
The announcement marks a major step forward for the band with Hansen as their new frontman.
Kelly Hansen joined the Dead Daisies in October 2026, reuniting with guitarist Doug Aldrich. The two were bandmates in Hurricane between 1989 and 1991. Hansen replaced John Corabi, who had been with the band in two separate stints: from 2015 to 2019 and again from 2023 to 2026. Corabi released his solo album “New Day” in April 2026, about six months before his departure from the Dead Daisies.
The band reunited with bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes for a performance on May 30, 2026 at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, shortly before Corabi’s exit. That show marked an important moment for the group before the lineup change that brought Hansen on board.
The current Dead Daisies lineup includes guitarists Doug Aldrich and David Lowy, drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Jimi Crutchley alongside Hansen. The band has announced a Spring 2027 US tour with support from BulletBoys and The Fell, along with a March 2027 UK and European tour. They have also released a new single titled “Lift Me Up” to accompany the studio work and touring plans.
