The Dandy Warhols’ Courtney Taylor-Taylor was once in love with Duff McKagan’s wife.
In a recent interview with Q Online, the singer talked about the band’s newest album, ‘Rockmaker.’ During the chat, he remembered the days of meeting the Guns N’ Roses members. After meeting the members, the rocker fell in love with the bassist’s wife. In his words, she was ‘out of his league’:
“I was very good friends with – and deeply in love with – the lady that became Duff McKagan’s wife. When she was out of town, she’d just leave the keys to her apartment in Hollywood, and I could stay in her flat there. Yeah, she was rad. I mean, she was just really rad. And just way out of my league.”
Taylor did not share the name of the woman, so it’s unclear if it’s an ex-wife or McKagan’s current wife.
The Band’s Other Connections With GNR

In addition to being friends, The Dandy Warhols have worked with one of GNR’s members. The rockers recorded a song with Slash on the album. The track is called ‘I’d Like To Help You With Your Problem.’
During another interview, the frontman shared his thoughts on working with Slash. Taylor said the collaboration worked so well and the rest of the members were ‘fascinated’ too:
“The first time we heard it back in our studio we just stared at each other with our mouths open. What he played on the track is amazing. I’ve never heard him play quite like that, but what is so fascinating to me is that it is clearly him playing. As recognizable as a familiar human voice.”
The album dropped on March 15. Other than Slash, it features collaborations with Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Pixies’ Frank Black. You can hear it down below.
