Early on December 15, Stryper frontman Michael Sweet underwent thyroidectomy surgery to remove part of his thyroid gland and has since checked in with the following good news. The rocker shared the good news on his X with a selfie and the following message to his fans and friends:

“I’m out of surgery and feeling relatively good. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers and no matter what Kiss may claim, we have the best fans/friends in the world. God bless you all.”

Sweet received a great amount of heartfelt comments.

The Details About Sweet’s Health

The rocker first revealed the health-related news two months ago on his social media accounts. It included issues with his eyes and a growing nodule on his thyroid. In the statements, he said it was revealed to be a 95% suspicion of cancer on his left side and a smaller nodule on his right side. The rocker had to take singing and touring slow, and surgery was planned to take place on December 15.

In late November, the rocker discussed his battle with cancer and answered questions about new music too. Asked how his battle would affect his songwriting and recording, the rocker stated that he was said to be able to sing within two months and that he’d start working on lyrics and melodies once he felt better after the surgery.
