Stevie Nicks revealed her work on a new album during her Pollstar Hall of Fame induction speech. The announcement came through DanDanMusicManUK.

“I’m actually making a record right now. I call it the ghost record,” Nicks said. “It just really kinda happened in the last couple of weeks because of, you know, the fires.”

“I was sitting in a hotel for 92 days. At some point during that last part of the 92 days, I said, ‘You know what? I feel like I’m on the road, but there’s no shows. I’m just sitting here by myself because everybody else is at the house, doing all the remediations and everything, and it’s just me, sitting here,'” she explained. “And I thought, ‘You need to go back to work.’ And I did.”

“[The songs] are autobiographical, real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life,” she continued. “They are not airy-fairy songs that you are wondering who they’re about, but you don’t really get it. They’re real stories of memories of mine, of fantastic men!”

This marks Nicks’ first new album release in 14 years. The milestone represents a significant return to recording original material.

The upcoming album showcases a deeply personal chapter in Nicks’ storied career. Several notable developments have already emerged.

106.3 The Brew revealed that seven tracks have been completed for the project. This progress demonstrates Nicks’ continued dedication to her craft despite the long hiatus.

Relix disclosed that the album will include a special tribute song to Prince. This addition brings an emotional dimension to the highly anticipated release.

Consequence highlighted that the album will feature references to past relationships. These include mentions of her former partner Jimmy Iovine, supporting her commitment to more direct storytelling.

WJRZ emphasized that this album stands as Nicks’ most personal work to date. The project departs from her traditionally metaphorical songwriting style.
