Joe Satriani announced the dates for 2023’s long-awaited G4 Experience and revealed its all-star lineup. It turns out that Toto’s Steve Lukather will take the stage along with Satriani and many iconic names during the following year’s event. In a recent tweet, Satriani shared Steve Lukather’s thoughts on taking part in the G4 Experience with a video message.
“G4 first-timer? Don’t worry, you’re not alone!” Satriani addressed his followers who will attend 2023’s G4 Experience for the first time. In the tweet, he also announced the star-studded lineup, “Guitar superstar Steve Lukather joins the G4 Experience this year, taking part in a fantastic lineup including Peter Frampton, Steve Morse, Alex Skolnick, and more.”
In the attached video, Lukather said, “Hey everybody, Steve Lukather here. I just want to say I’m really thrilled, excited, and honored that Joe invited me up to the G4 Experience with so many of my old friends that I’m a fan of. I mean, the guitar playing is going to be immense; it’s going to be insane.”
“I’m there to learn,” added Lukather, paying respect to his fellow guitarists. “I’m coming to hang out. This is a first for me, I don’t normally do this kind of stuff, but I just gotta check it out. I can’t wait to see everybody else play and meet everybody, [it] should be a lot of fun. So, make sure you’re there, okay? See you!”
2023’s G4 Experience will take place between January 3 and 7 at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alex Skolnick, Andy James, Cory Wong, Eric Gales, John 5, Mateus Asato, and Nili Brosh will also hold jam sessions throughout the event. It is clear that Steve Lukather is delighted to be a part of this Experience.
