Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett recently announced the release of a new live album, including his band’s performances of Genesis songs and his most recent studio album, ‘Surrender Of Silence.’

In January 2020, fans spotted Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford at a basketball game at Madison Square Garden. They then began questioning whether Genesis could reunite. On March 4, the trio announced a reunion with their The Last Domino? Tour.

Although the tour was scheduled for seventeen dates between November and December 2020, it had to be rescheduled twice due to the pandemic. Eventually, they hit the road on September 20, 2021. Sadly, Peter Gabriel stated that this tour would be his last with Genesis due to his health issues.

On October 8, Genesis postponed the UK leg due to a positive COVID case. They then rescheduled the dates for March 2022 and performed their final show of The Last Domino? Tour on March 26 in London. Apart from Gabriel, Steve Hackett didn’t appear on the stage for the reunion tour.

However, in an interview in March, Steve Hackett left the door open for a reunion show. Recently, the guitarist announced the release of a new visual document titled ‘Genesis Revisited Live: Seconds Out & More.’ The live album covers his 2022 UK tour, during which he celebrated the classic Genesis live record.

Hackett expressed his excitement for the release of ‘Genesis Revisited Live: Seconds Out & More’ and stated the album combines Genesis’ true spirit with a fresh virtuosic approach, which ended up being ‘a feast for ears and eyes.’ After Hackett’s announcement, fans began waiting for the release in excitement.

As reported by Blabbermouth, Steve Hackett said the following:

“I’m so happy to release my ‘Seconds Out & More’ show. A spectacular night with a band on fire tearing into that magic music combining the true spirit of Genesis with a fresh virtuosic approach and an extraordinary sound under amazing lights. This show is a feast for both ears and eyes. The best of so many worlds!”

‘Genesis Revisited Live: Seconds Out & More’ is set for release on September 2 and features Hackett’s performance of ‘Seconds Out’ in sequence along with his solo material, including songs from his recent record ‘Surrender Of Silence,’ released on September 10, 2021.
