Smashing Pumpkin frontman Billy Corgan has tied the knot with his partner, Chloe Mendel.
The couple first revealed the news on WGN TV during the band’s 30th celebration of the album, ‘Siamese Dream,’ to share that they got married on September 16 on Sunday.
Recently, the details about the ‘secret’ wedding were shared on Corgan’s Instagram. The rocker shared a video of the moment with the following description:
“After a year of secrecy about the date of our wedding Chloe Mendel and I are thrilled now to be able to share this magical moment in our lives with all of our friends, family and of course our fans. Our journey to marriage has certainly been unique, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way, as we were married with our 2 children, Augustus Juppiter and Philomena Clementine by our side.
To make the day even more special, both of us were wearing couture ‘House of Gilles’ designed by Chloé’s father, the famed Gilles Mendel. We are in love and happy. And can only thank all who have wished us well. True love is elusive, yes we feel blessed to have found it with one another.”
The rocker proposed to Mendel on her 30th birthday last year, which the model initially assumed to be a birthday gesture.
Corgan and Mendel have been dating for over a decade and share two children. We wish the couple the best.
