Slade’s Noddy Holder recently shared a funny story about Ozzy Osbourne’s infamous pranks in an interview with Planet Rock Radio’s Jen Thomas. According to Holder, Osbourne had a habit of pranking people who passed out at parties. Osbourne’s infamous prank was to shave the eyebrows of anyone who passed out in his presence. Holder, who could match Osbourne’s drinking prowess, managed to avoid falling victim to this prank himself. However, he recounted that many others weren’t so fortunate. He said:
“If you passed out with Ozzy, whether you were drinking or whatever, he would shave your eyebrows. I could always keep up with Ozzy, so he never did it to me, but quite often he’d shave people’s eyebrows. Of course, when they wake up in the morning and they look in the mirror, they know there’s something wrong, but they don’t realise their eyebrows have gone. But Ozzy came up with that one. He used to do it all the time.”
Ozzy Once Admitted He Was The One Doing It
Years ago, Ozzy himself admitted proudly that he often pulled this prank. In a 1983 interview on the UK music show The Tube, Ozzy Osbourne himself confirmed his unusual hobby of shaving people’s eyebrows while they slept. During the conversation, Osbourne admitted to this prank. He said:
“When people are asleep, I lurk into their room and zip their eyebrows. They look the next day completely different. Their whole life changes, you know.”
