Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach discussed the band’s subsequent singers in a recent interview with The Metal Voice.
Bach’s response was direct when questioned about his successors in Skid Row.
“I would need to hear them sing, and I have never listened to any of them ever. Why would I listen to that?” Bach said.
He made these remarks during a discussion about his new album ‘Child Within the Man’ and his appearance at Rock For Ronnie 2025.
His dismissive comments underscore the significant changes in the band since his departure.
Loudwire documented Skid Row’s vocal timeline after Bach’s 1996 exit. The band worked with four different vocalists: Johnny Solinger (1999-2015), Tony Harnell (2015), ZP Theart (2016-2022), and Erik Grönwall (2022-2024).
Rapid Vocal Results revealed that internal conflicts preceded Bach’s departure. This period marked the end of the band’s most commercially successful era.
The frequent lineup changes demonstrate the band’s ongoing stability challenges. Each new vocalist brought unique changes to the group’s sound and direction.
Ultimate Classic Rock noted the band’s struggles. Despite trying different frontmen, they haven’t matched their earlier commercial success from Bach’s era.
