Sebastian Bach recently shared his thoughts on Triumph’s reunion while questioning why Skid Row remains unable to reunite, in an interview with The Metal Voice.

The former Skid Row frontman expressed his enthusiasm for Triumph’s comeback. He used it as an opportunity to address the ongoing stalemate within his former band.

“I’m happy for Triumph. I think it’s incredible. I’ve always loved Triumph,” Bach said. “I bought a ticket when I was like 10 years old to the Peterborough Memorial Center. I saw the poster of Triumph on the wall at A & A records and tapes in the Peterborough Square and it was the poster of Gil Moore on the drum kit with his hand up in the air and then there was Pyro going off and Rick Emmett was playing his double neck. I thought, I got to go to this show.”

Bach continued to share his memorable experience from that early concert. He highlighted what impressed him most about the band’s performance.

“I couldn’t believe it when Gil Moore came down off the drum throne and started talking to the crowd because I never saw a drummer do that,” he continued. “Moore said, ‘Hey, Peterborough, what’s going on?’ and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s the drummer. Like, how’s that happening right now?’ I thought Rick Emmett was going to be talking to the crowd. No, Gil’s in charge. So, I love the band. I’ve always loved a band. Well, I was happy to be part of the tribute album, Magic Power. I got to do 24 hours a day and then Rock and Roll Machine.”

The conversation then shifted to Bach’s frustration with Skid Row’s inability to reunite. He drew comparisons to other successful band reunions.

“And when I see Triumph get together (reunite), I’m like, ‘Hey, Snake and Rachel, what do you think of the Triumph tour? What do you think? What are your opinions on this?’ Well, if Triumph is going back on tour and Rush is going back on tour, what is our problem?” Bach said. “Like what the heck’s wrong with us? Like it’s just silly. I mean, but I’m not waiting around either at the same time. I got my own band. I got my own albums and I play tons of shows. I’m extremely busy.”

Bach’s comments highlight the ongoing tensions that have prevented Skid Row’s classic lineup from reuniting. This comes despite successful comebacks by other legendary rock acts.

Parade reported that Bach has clarified that the barrier to reunion is not personal conflict but rather business-related obstacles. “Basically, it’s a business reason why it hasn’t happened yet, it’s not a personal reason,” he explained. This revelation sheds new light on the long-standing impasse between Bach and his former bandmates.

However, the prospects for a reunion remain dim. Parade noted that Skid Row guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo has consistently rejected the idea, stating in 2024 that “It’s not gonna happen” and that he and other founding members “don’t wanna go down that road again.”

Bach remains focused on his solo career despite the reunion impasse. BraveWords confirmed that Bach has a North American headlining tour launching in February 2026. The tour begins with dates in California and Oregon. This tour demonstrates his commitment to moving forward with his own musical projects rather than waiting for a potential Skid Row reunion.

Bach maintains hope for future collaboration despite the current stalemate. MusicRadar revealed that he recently worked with current Skid Row drummer Rob Hammersmith on a new video and plans a private show with him in Connecticut. This suggests that not all bridges have been burned between Bach and members of the Skid Row organization.
